WE ARE SOMANI KANAK SEEDZ PVT LTD
Somani Seedz was set up in 2013 by a team of professionals with deep experience in the seeds industry. The team came together under the leadership of Mr. Kamal Somani to build a research driven institution focused on developing high quality Hybrid Vegetable Seeds with better yield, disease resistance and adaptability to different agro climatic conditions. The team’s key endeavour is to lead the transition in India from Open Pollinated seeds to Hybrid Vegetable seeds promising higher yields, better quality and consequently significantly higher farmer incomes.
With a Farmer First approach, Somani Seedz is one of the fastest growing vegetable seed companies in India with a large network of dealers and distributors spread across the country. Somani Seedz’ four Research & Development centres have been astutely set up to map the agro climatic conditions of a large part of India, its production centres (both in India and outside India) have been set up to ensure the highest quality seeds are grown and processed before being shipped out across India and in select overseas markets. Somani Seedz has attained a place of pride in the vegetable seed industry in a short span of time and is committed to keep evolving and innovating to make a meaningful improvement in farm output and farmer incomes.

Indian agriculture is becoming global in nature. India is now looked upon to not only feed its large population but be a provider to the world as well. Increasing production is the only solution for India to fulfil this dual role while ensuring that the farmer benefits from this demand.
A significant increase in agricultural production is largely dependent upon adoption and utilization of new technologies. The process of modernizing Indian agriculture involves enhancing use of inputs such as high-quality seeds, requisite amounts of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, investments in irrigation, farm mechanization and a network of research driven organizations and extension of agri-infrastructure. These are key to India making its agriculture more productive, and cost competitive.
Seed is a vital input and dynamic instrument for increasing agricultural production and has been and will continue to be the most important input that can meaningfully enhance production and productivity. While seeds form only a small part of the total cultivation expenses, yet, without good seeds, the investment on fertilizer, pesticides and other inputs will not pay the required dividend. In fact, seed is the real vehicle of production and other inputs like water and fertilizers can only be regarded as fuel. Quality seed production is a specialized activity and a portion of crop produce retained by the farmer as seeds cannot be a substitute for quality seeds since such seeds are devoid of genetic vigor and may suffer from lack of desired qualities.
We started Somani Seedz to bridge this wide gap in the market and provide high quality Hybrid Vegetable Seeds to our farmers to give them a strong starting point to build upon. We have used both Indian and international germplasms, sourced best-in-class seeds from our international partners, developed new products with many more in the pipeline. In our key crops of focus, we aim to be leaders both in the domestic and international markets.

At Somani Seedz, Quality Policy is centered around ensuring satisfaction of internal and external customers as well as our business associates. Our quality policies are designed on standard SOP to ensure timely, reliable, and reproducible results. Our processes are designed to ensure that the seeds produced meet the highest International benchmarks.
This is achieved by creating detailed process definitions, regularly updated process, and quality manuals, and ensuring strong adherence and implementation of all defined processes in production, processing, and in the marketing depots.
